Here is a great way to block unwanted text messages.
Works with most carriers but this link is setup up only for Verizon Wireless customers.
Go to the above link and block all text messages from web and email and allow only text messages sent to Nickname@vtext.com that way only your close friends who you text to will be able to send you text messages.
